Signs of Skin Aging

Aging of the skin is an irresistible natural phenomenon. However, this process does not happen suddenly but progressively. If the signs of aging of your beautiful skin are promptly discovered and treated appropriately, the process of skin aging can be delayed. What then, are the signs of skin aging? Each part of your beautiful skin shows different signs of aging. Wrinkles are not the only or first signs of aging. As such, if you want to know whether your skin is aging, you may determine it by looking at the following aspects of your skin.

Sagging Skin
To see whether the skin on your cheeks sag, just lower your head and look into a mirror. Observe whether both sides of your cheeks are sagging or loosing up. If the answer is yes, it means your beautiful skin lacks elasticity. Studies show that our cheeks are constantly weighed down by 2.5 kg of gravity. This pressure has not much effect on your beautiful skin when you are young. But once you are 30 years old and above, the effects of gravity on your youth will be noticeable and your cheeks will begin to sag and loosen gradually.

Dull Skin
Observe your face carefully after cleansing it every morning. You will notice the signs of dull and lackluster skin. The culprits of this condition are the make-up residues deposited in your skin texture. The oxidation of these residues will result in dull-looking and dehydrated skin, leading to the drying up and flaking of cells of the cuticle. As a result, the skin becomes less lucent. This coupled with stress in daily life will activate the formation of melanin and uneven skin tone.

Lines and Wrinkles
When you feel that your beautiful face is dry, look carefully at the skin surrounding your eyes in the mirror. If you notice any fine lines, it means that your beautiful skin is showing the signs of aging. The appearance of wrinkles is closely related to age, muscles of facial expressions and gravity. At middle age, the skin begins to age, becomes thinner and its tension and elasticity reduces, the ability of skin tissues to renew reduces accordingly while the elastic muscles of the dermis deteriorate and crack up, leading to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Dry and Rough Skin
When you have a tightened-up and dry sensation on your beautiful face when you touch it after cleansing it, it could be a SOS signal given by your skin. The skin cuticle contains natural moisturizing factors. The amount of such factors determines the moisture content of your beautiful skin. When we age, the water retention ability of natural moisturizing factors decreases, causing the secretion of sebum to decline and leading to the increased evaporation of skin moisture. As a result, the beautiful skin becomes dry and rough.
